In Sautee-Nacoochee in White County, visit Sweetwater Coffeehouse and The Chattahoochee Grill. Both are excellent!

Lambda Alliance is the University of Georgia's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered student organization. All LGBT persons and allies are welcomed. Meetings: Each Monday (excluding holidays, the first week of each semester and finals weeks) at 7 pm in Room 142 of the Tate Student Center. Churches -A number are welcoming to gay men and lesbians. The most accepting (other than the Metropolitan Community Church, which does not have a church in Northeast Georgia!) is the Episcopal Church. In Northeast Georgia, there are -- Episcopal churches. Links are at left.
Other churches we know of include Unity in Gainesville and the Unitarian-Universalist Church in Dahlonega.
